Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What kind of truck do I need to carry an EZ Lite truck camper?

A: We build campers for all size trucks. However, it depends if you want a bathroom or not. If you do want a bathroom we recommend that you have at least a 3/4 ton truck (ie F250 or 2500 series).

Q: What type of camper is better, a pop up or hard side camper?

A: Both types are just as good in their own ways. A pop up camper has a lower profile and lower center of gravity which will save you gas and handle a lot better. A hard side camper will give you more storage, but will use more gas. Both types are also comparable in weight for the same size camper.

Q: Can I pick my own color fabric and cushions?

A: Yes, we have many choices of colors and different levels of foam available, so everyone can be happy!

Q: How is the truck camper attached to my truck.

A: There are a few options for securing the camper to your truck. We typically install brackets to the body of your truck and rear bumper. This is called a Happijac system. We also offer a frame mount tie down system which is attached to the frame of your truck only. This is called a Torklift system. Both are very good options for securing the camper to your truck.

Q: How much do your campers weigh?

A: It all depends on how you equip them. We have standard specifications and floor plans with weights. The more options you add, the more the weight increases.

Q: If I don't see a floor plan I want on your website, can I customize my own?

A: Yes, we do build custom floor plans to our customers’ specifications. Feel free to call us today, or stop by to discuss your build.
